The brewery was very employee-friendly and the work environment was accepting and easy to adapt to. Good people working for a good company.
What I wish was different
The time that I choose to work there, as business tends to boom in the Summer, meaning we were always working over-time and customer demand took a great toll on all of us working in the kitchen and front of house. Nevertheless, we all were sure to keep each other's spirits up and made sure someone took a break if we knew they needed it.
Advice
Be sure you are prepared to stand and be on the move for extended periods of time. Regulate meals and always stay hydrated in such an active and hot environment as a kitchen. Perform your duties (wash the dishes) correctly, and the time saved for everyone involved is immeasurable.

What I liked
I love the flexibility of my job. Being a server allows me to structure my schedule in such a way that allows for adequate time allotted to both my education and to supporting my partners small business. I also love the autonomy within the position, and the brisk pace that comes with working for a world-renowned brewery.
What I wish was different
I wish the position was more applicable to my career path, but intend to focus on increasing applicability when I am closer to graduation. Thus far the wages, flexibility, phenomenal benefits, and working relationships that have developed over the years have made it difficult to leave the position, and all I can do is hope that when the time comes I find an understanding employer.
Advice
I feel that everyone should be in the service industry at some point in their lives, especially with increasing trends toward automation; You see a completely different side of people, and in doing so develop a skill set applicable to a variety of situations.

What I liked
I liked working in my field. It was a fast environment and it made me work efficient.
What I wish was different
The training. It was about a day and half of training and then I began my first project. Along the way, I faced things I did not know or how to do according to their standard.
Advice
After this experienced, I learned how valuable it is to work in your field. Projects happen faster than school projects and you have to be flexible and be open to learn.
