Engineering Intern

May - August 2021 • San Francisco, CA

What I liked

I enjoyed the company and the work they had me doing. I did not feel like an intern and felt like I was apart of the team. I wasn't just given busy work to complete and I got to work on real tasks.

Civil Engineering Intern

May - August 2018 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

Great Opportunity to grow in the construction engineering industry and also an opportunity to obtain experience early in your career. Well paid and the people you work with will appreciate any work you take off their shoulders.

What I wish was different

I wish they would had more time to explain some of the things that I needed to do. I often was challenged to find answers in my own and at times my job got really stressing but this is the construction industry in general, other than that my experience was great and taught me a lot in just 3 months.

Advice

They do not expect you to know everything since you're an intern. They do expect you to know who to ask which is basically what you learn in your classes so don't get frustrated if you feel like you do not know everything.

Field Engineering Intern

June - September 2017 • Sausalito, CA

What I liked

The people that work for this company make you feel like family. This was one of those fabled jobs that made it not feel like work. I enjoyed getting out of bed every morning because I enjoyed it so much.

What I wish was different

I only wish I had more responsibilities earlier on. At first they were hesitant with what I could handle but this comes naturally with any job. Eventually I began to fit in and always had work in front of me.

Advice

Go to every single company outing that they have. Getting to know your coworkers goes a long way with this company.

Advice

Be open to changes. Things can change regarding the work you are doing or even the location you are working. This is actually beneficial as you get more experiences.
