Working closely with the animals and their training alongside teaching the ranch hands and youth about horses. Allowed me to improve my own skills while helping others have a good experience with what I am passionate about. It was also an elevating Christian environment and the staff, for the most part, are very supportive of each other.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been paid more for the amount of work I put in on a seven day basis.
Advice
Patience and kindness are key when it comes to working not only with horses, but with the youth who come through the camp.
