I loved working with the people in the field. They made feel comfortable and one of their team members really quick!
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been in the field for the entire summer as opposed to just my last two weeks of the internship.
Advice
Speak up about what you want to get out of an internship. If the company is not meeting your expectations, tell them that.

Construction Project Management Intern
June - September 2019 • Providence, RI
What I liked
I was an onsite project management intern on the RWU SECCM labs project in Bristol, RI. Through this I gained relevant work experience in line with my major as well as had access to a project that once complete will benefit the RWU community as a whole. Being on site not only was I exposed to the role and work of a project manager but also as an on site project superintendent as well. This broadened my horizons even further than what the original scope of the internship was intended and allowed me many relevant learning experiences that I can look back on in the future.

Advice
One piece of advice I would share is to be as involved as possible. Show your boss and the others you want to be there and involved. The more you show you want to be there to work and learn the more responsibility you will be given which allows you to gain more out of your experience than just being someones shadow.
