Working up close and hands-on with exotic animals. Educating and interacting with the public about endangered and exotic animals. Giving public presentations and field trips tours to neighboring schools and daycares. Getting to know every individual animal and learning their personalities, Making lifelong bonds and friendships with the animals and my coworkers.
What I wish was different
I wish nothing was different about this experience. I loved every single day to work with my passion for animals. Everything I learned not only helped me with my future career but also built my character up as a person.
Advice
Keep working hard and everything will pay off. At first, the work can be enduring and exhausting but your body will accumulate to the Texas heat and the animals being in your presence will always make you smile.

What I liked
The employees are really passionate about their jobs. You get to work with exotic animals and orphaned local animals, sometimes even nursing them by hand. The volunteer program for college students is really helpful.
