I loved that I was not just any other intern, I was a part of the Field Team and was able to spearhead projects and research and take the lead. I was able to conduct research that was used by the Field Team in their planning meetings for the new fiscal year and my capstone project is now used by the organization.
What I wish was different
Because I was treated as any other member of the Field Team, I was not always given much instruction or guidance on some projects.
Advice
The organization offers incredible learning experiences, numerous times a week employees had the opportunity to hold a "Cookbook" in which they present interesting information. These events are open to anybody and it is a great way to get to learn more about the organization and the different roles that people play in fighting childhood hunger.
