This internship allowed me to gain internal audit experience as well as experience how a corporate office runs. I was able to work with individuals from payroll all the way up to the CFO. I helped complete reports that are sent off to the executive board allowing me to take part in valuable work. I was also given the opportunity to complete work with individuals globally which is a unique opportunity that most employers do not offer. I have an excellent manager that helps to make my tasks clear and helps set the intern up for success. I love the flexible schedules and willingness to work with my schedule as I was also taking summer classes and I like that I was able to earn credit for my Internship.
What I wish was different
I wish the company would host more outside of the work events for networking and to boost company moral.
Advice
The internship is what you make of it. You are given freedom but also high level tasks. The key is to complete your work and ask questions when needed.
