What I liked

I really enjoyed the team-based working environment, as well as gaining experience in management and delegation.

What I wish was different

There isn't much I personally would have changed in relation to the job; expectations were given with enough time and resources to meet them, and help and advice was given freely when needed.

Advice

Be confident in your decision making; while it is good to listen to your team's input, to ensure that everything gets done it is crucial to make sure that expectations and when they need to be met is clearly stated at all times. Doing this helped make the work go smoothly and provided stability when the workload was larger. I would also recommend bringing any of your personal equipment that you own and would be willing to bring; while there are enough resources available to complete the job well, I was very thankful to have my personal camera, gimbal, and other equipment that made my work at the very least more fun, even easier at times.

What I liked

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. More than willing to help whenever you need it and very, very supportive. The environment was quite possibly the best I've ever worked in. There is a large variety of work, so you will find your niche no matter what you're good at. It was very challenging, which made for a very rewarding experience.

What I wish was different

I can't really think of anything. It was such an amazing internship all around that I don't have have anything negative to say.

Advice

Ask lots of questions and learn as much as you possibly can. Opportunities like this one don't show up very often, so take them when you can. This internship is wonderful for portfolio/resume building, so make every effort to maximize that (and by doing so, the camp gets more out of you! Win-win!)

What I liked

I spent two weeks going through training so I was fully prepared for my duties and responsibilities. Seneca Hills redefines community, the culture and leadership made it an amazing place to learn and improve my marketing skills. Working at a camp gives you a unique experience and large skill set that prepares you for the workforce.

What I wish was different

An overall great experience! I wish I knew more about working a camera coming in, but after the training I knew what I needed to get the job done.

Advice

Seneca Hills is very accommodating. Even if you are not from the area, I would look into working here. I traveled from Michigan, not knowing anyone, and it was the best summer job that I've had!
