What I liked

Since starting at Sendero, I have been continuously impressed with how invested each employee has been in my journey. From upper level managers to my daily coworkers, I have been pushed to be better and encouraged to be myself. This is a place where people thrive based on collaboration, wiliness, and trust. I am very grateful to work at a company that puts its people first and values hard work and relationship building.

What I liked

Sendero is the perfect please to develop your career, no matter what your major or specialization is. I have two bachelor's in International Relations and Latin American Studies, but I had a passion for consulting and taking my inter-disciplinary experience to embark in a goal-oriented field. Sendero has provided me with the resources, connections, and tools to make me a consultant (an industry in which I had no previous experience!). A key aspect I cannot underscore enough is the company values, how they support employees and clients, and make Sendero the high-value company they are today!

Advice

Networking, networking, networking! Take advantage of the incredibly smart people Sendero has and tell them your interests, where you see yourself in the next 3, 5, or 10 years, and believe me, they will sincerely help you to get there! So, utilize those resources to grow!

Consulting Intern

May - July 2021 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

As an intern, I enjoyed being put on a team for the summer and given the chance to help on an ongoing project. It was a great experience getting to know the employees at Sendero and the employees of the client. I also loved getting to be with the other interns and learn from them as well throughout the summer. The last thing that I enjoyed was being given a mentor throughout the summer. My mentor was encouraging, hard working, and taught me so many things.

What I wish was different

My internship was virtual all summer and that is something I wish could have been different. There were a couple of in person events, which were great but wish there could have been more.

Advice

My one piece of advice would be to not be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and ask questions. I learned so much every time I would ask a question and quickly realized that was the key to success as an intern.
