Dear Seminole State Raider,
Please check out the job opportunities listed on this profile. New opportunities are received weekly, so please check often.
These employment opportunities are being provided through a new initiative titled the Federal Work Study (FWS) Experiment. The U.S. Department of Education invited 190 colleges and universities to join the Federal Work Study Experiment. We were selected and represent the only public college in Florida participating in the Experiment. We have been granted additional funding to perform the goals of this meaningful initiative.
We can now partner with private‐for‐profit employers to provide them reimbursement of 50%/75% of a student’s earned compensation, up to 100% of the student’s unmet need. This partnership creates numerous employment opportunities for our students.
The position must match a student’s academic program and can be an internship, part-time or full-time job. To compete and accept a position with a participating employer, a student would need to accept their Federal Work Study Award and sign a consent form for us to release that information to the employer. Please contact Nate Ferguson at fergusonn@seminolestate.edu before applying for a position to:
1. Ensure your Federal Work Study eligibility.
2. Accept your FWS award if eligible.
3. Sign a consent form to release your unmet need amount to the employer.
After you have contacted Nate to complete the three steps cited above, he will send you the how to apply instructions for each job that peaks your interest. You can also contact Nate via e-mail to ask questions. In the body of your message, please include your name, student ID number, contact telephone number and the best time to call. Best wishes for landing a great position!
