Project Engineer

What I liked

Well, I quite literally built myself a house so now I no longer need to worry about rent. This was a challenging and physically difficult job but I grew a lot and I have vastly expanded my skill set.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to finish the project before school started, I am about two weeks away from finishing but school is making finishing take a lot longer.

Advice

Do what you can to build your experience, if you can not find an applicable internship the summer after freshman year (very common) don't waste your summer. Go out and find something that will grow you as a person; even if it does not come with a paycheck, it will surely pay off in the long run, or at least make for some great stories.

The opportunity not only to teach and demonstrate python and R skills, but also to reconsolidate my own knowledge

Would have been nice to incorporate more advanced projects in classes and have group sessions
