It was a great opportunity to do my own research and get paid modestly for it. It was somewhat like getting paid to do your own schoolwork.

I only wish I had more time to do it!

The research opportunity was a SURF grant. To anyone applying for a SURF grant I suggest getting connected with your mentor, or finding one who takes great interest in your work!
