I loved being able to grow my network in the greater Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). I also loved being a chaperone for youth trips - it allowed me to mature while still maintain a fun summer.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had a better opportunity to get creative with events.
Advice
I would share that being organized enough to the point that you can be flexible is the perfect balance! Youth ministry is fueled by preparedness and flexibility.

What I liked
It was a good experience in youth ministry. I enjoyed working in teams with my coworkers. The schedule is flexible and you make your own plans with students.

Plan your week in advance, making last minute plans does not work.
