This is a great place to work and gain experience in the wildlife field. The schedule is flexible and the shifts are short. Interns are required to work more hours and learn faster than other volunteers.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to learn and be trained. For a summer position it it difficult to dedicate an extended period of time to training.
Advice
This is a hands on job that required dedication and responsibility. It’s important to pay attention to detail even when you need to work quickly. I’d also advice wearing clothes you’re okay with getting dirty.
