What I liked

I enjoy working with Monique and the environment she creates for the office. It's a place where I feel challenged and am excited to learn. She is always looking to help her interns do their best through constructive criticism. I appreciate Monique for giving me guidance.

What I wish was different

I truly believe that working in the office is the most efficient form of communication, however, due to COVID-19 working in person became much harder. I wish that in the future, we have the opportunity to work in person more often.

Advice

A piece of advice I have is to make the most out of the experience by learning as much as you can from either those around you or from Monique directly. Monique is knowledgeable and sincere in wanting to help her interns be better versions of themselves and professionals.

What I liked

I enjoyed working at this position because of how much I was able to learn in such a short period of time. Matchmaking is a very interesting and exciting field, you'll never go a day at Seattle Love Broker without learning something new. Monique truly wants to see you succeed and invests so much of her time into your development.

What I wish was different

Due to COVID-19 restrictions this position had to be primarily remote. My most valuable experiences came from my in-person office time.

Advice

Really get engaged and invest your work into the company, it will provide you with the best experience!

Matchmaking intern

What I liked

I enjoyed getting to know Monique and her business Seattle Love Broker. She genuinely wants to help people prepare themselves for serious relationships. Monique is honest, hard-working, generous, and wise. I learned a lot about website design, matchmaking, relationships, and working with cliental.

What I wish was different

Due to COVID, working remotely was difficult and there was miscommunication at times. It is best to work hands on and in person at Seattle Love Broker to get the best experience!

Advice

If you are interested in interning or working for SLB I think it would be a good idea to apply and meet Monique for an interview to see if it is a good fit for you! Monique provided many positive opportunities for me such as broadcasting on her show Afternoons with Monique and provided a photoshoot with a photographer who has now offered me modeling roles. She has a great network and wants to share her mutual professionals with newbies starting out in their career.
