What I liked

This is a great place to work with smart people who are also always willing to help. The company has great documentation library for you to learn or share ideas. It truly cares about your career and where you want to go. My job is monitoring trading desk, but my colleagues would also love to teach me some quant research stuff or assign me simple dev projects to practice based on my interest. In terms of benefits, it is also fantastic. Our office is fully of all the snacks and drinks you want and offer delicious lunch with sufficient budget. We have flexible WFH option and have outing events, birthday events. Overall, it is an amazing workplace with employee-friendly culture.

Quantitative Research Intern

What I liked

Worked at Scientech Research for 3 month as a quant intern. It's an awesome firm with great mentorship. The environment is exciting and supportive. The talent density is very high -- people are all extremely sharp, and the hierarchy is remarkably flat. There is a decent amount of open discussion of crazy ideas. The progress can be extremely fast for those who think hard. Working days are short and intense. Almost everyone is in by 9 and left by 6. During the day, people are focused on work and you can expect to get response to any question you ask within minutes. The return rate is really high as far as I know. For those who may care about this: there is every type of snacks / lunch / drinks you could want.
