I greatly enjoyed working with students this summer. Students not only maintained what they had learned over the school year but were also able to enjoy weekly field trips. We went to the Saratoga County Fair, Peerless Pool, and a Valley Cats Baseball game, among other things. Helping students with disabilities helped me gain experience in many different areas, some include behavior management, using PECs, and communicating student experiences to parents. I liked seeing students outside of the academic setting and creating a positive environment for them. This job was challenging for me but it also encouraged a lot of growth.
