Santiam Hospital is a not-for-profit, 40 bed acute-care hospital located in Stayton, Oregon, which is a short 12-mile drive east of Salem, and serves more than 30,000 people annually from the communities of Stayton, Sublimity, Aumsville, Mill City, Jefferson, and the surrounding areas.
We specialize in a wide range of treatments at our hospital and our clinics are designed to serve the medical needs of our communities.
Our hospital has a long history in the Willamette Valley, dating back to 1950 when the North Santiam area community leaders formed a nonprofit organization with its mission to build a community hospital. By 1953, the hospital opened its doors, thanks to generous donations from more than 3,000 individuals and businesses.
As the community grew, so did the hospital. Over the years, many expansions and remodels have occurred. In 2011, construction began on the west tower, which doubled the size of the hospital. Upon its completion in 2012, the hospital campus became home to the Santiam Surgery Center, Santiam Family Birth Center with a C-section unit on the same floor, and the Medical Surgical Unit/ICU.
Today, our teams of qualified medical professionals and staff offer top-of-the-line care within the hospital's facilities. State-of-the-art technology means same-day surgery at the Santiam Surgery Center. The Family Birth Center offers a range of birthing options, including the only hospital with in-room water labor tubs. Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Technology and Digital Mammography offer patients pin-point accuracy and faster results. The ICU supports a range of critical care options. On-site specialties to name a few include Family Medicine, Board Certified Anesthesiologists, Orthopaedics, Pulmonary, Obstetrics, and Internal Medicine.
At Santiam Hospital, our philosophy is to embrace while providing extraordinary care top you. We promote healthy living. We specialize in individualized care with a personal touch. We are your medical family.
