The job was absolutely a wonderful learning experience. We were trained in all the tasks we were assigned and this internship definitely had me reconsider a career in immigration law as this field personally affects a large portion of my life through my family. I learned a lot about different facets of immigration law by working on clients' declarations, country reports, and case packets.
What I wish was different
I wish that we had fewer assignments. At the time, I was juggling between classes, work, and extracurriculars, so while I should've planned more, we had approximately 5 projects assigned per week. It was quite difficult to keep up at times, but the employer was fairly accommodating of people's situations.
Advice
I would definitely say to plan accordingly. We sometimes receive a lot of assignments, so I would suggest to avoid procrastinating and organize your schedule to help complete assignments.
