What I liked
I loved my supervisor- she was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I got close with all my co-workers (11 of us not including me) as well as other employees in different programs at the public health department.
What I wish was different
I wish more people took time off from school to intern! I was the only intern for a majority of the year the public health department. We received summer interns, which was awesome!
Advice
Be confident in yourself- don’t be afraid to speak up and ask questions because that’s the only way you’ll learn things.
