The experience I had at Sandy Hill was incredible! All of the staff are super nice and interesting and the Summer of 2019 had 40% international staff, making it a great experience to get to know people from all around the world. Sandy Hill does a great job of finding your strengths and building on them and there is definitely a role for everyone on their staff!

What I liked
It was great to be able to practice my leadership skills by leading three or four classes throughout the summer to small classes of students. I also loved how the counselors are recruited from all over the world so I was able to make a diverse group of friends and learn so much about their cultures and countries.
What I wish was different
The summer camp job is a lot of hours (it is a sleep-away camp) but not a lot of pay. I also wish they gave us more than one day off a week.
Advice
Enjoy the summer and open yourself up to being goofy with the campers!
