Facilities Engineering Intern

June - August 2021 • Austin, TX

What I liked

I really enjoyed this internship as it was a great way to observe the different fast paced factions of being an engineer. I was able to see the process of design, maintaining, and implementation of the semiconductor industry and it really helped me figure out what kind of engineering I wanted to get into.

What I wish was different

I suffered from impostor syndrome which gave me a lot of stress so if I could do it all again I would have grounded myself more and believed in myself.

Advice

Try your hardest and if you fail that is ok, just as long as you gave it your best shot!

Manufacturing Specialist

February 2019 • Austin, TX

What I liked

It’s an excellent place to work. They take care of their employees with great benefits and pay. The people you work with are talented and fun individuals.

What I wish was different

I started in a temp contractor position it took almost a year to get a full time position with Samsung. The only downside is waiting for a permanent position.

Advice

If you get hired on as contractor stick it out till you get permanent. The pay, bonuses, benefits are worth the wait.

Process Engineer

May - August 2019 • Austin, TX

What I liked

I loved the big company atmosphere. SAS was also a very young company so most employees were extremely relatable and friendly.

What I wish was different

I would of gone back full-time but I wish it wasn't located so far away from the East Coast.

Advice

Always ask questions and show you are open to every opportunity. Projects aren't always handed to you and you need to work to get what you want.
