Salem Five's CEO started out with the company as an underwriter. Underwriters don't usually become the CEO of their company. At Salem Five, though, you will be invested in, and there's so much opportunity to gain responsibility and learn about different business operations. If you're not willing to think critically or build connections within the company, though, that won't happen. Perhaps this is universal advice, but I think it holds especially true here. Be curious; be engaging. Don't underestimate yourself, and ask questions. The banking and insurance industries have great need for young people, and you can secure a very successful and stable future for yourself by choosing to help drive this change at Salem Five.
P.S. Make friends in other departments! There's so much going on between banking and commercial loaning and mortgaging and insurance writing and investmenting.
