What I liked

I got out of my comfort zone, had the opportunity to work with the police, and test out the skills and knowledge I gain from my classes over the years.

What I wish was different

I wish, I can do more in the office. Instead of sitting and waiting for a call.

Advice

This position is requires lots of patience because you're not only waiting for a call, but you are also working with clients that have been "recently" abused, being calm and patient with them is good. Another thing is you need to keep your boundaries and not carry their burden, because if you do not only it will affect your mental health but you would not be able to help the next person in distress. Have hope that a client has the situation handled and move on to the next one. It may seem to be inhumane but it shows that you trust your client and that is the best thing you can do for them.
