I enjoyed working on different projects every with alongside my coworkers, as well as helping out the clients with whatever needs they had.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have attended the the internship in person in New York.

What I liked
I had the opportunity to work alongside paralegals and pro-bono attorneys in their role providing representation to immigrant children facing deportation. As part of this work, I had extensive one-on-one interaction with clients which meant I was able to directly contribute to active immigration cases.
What I wish was different
The only real downside to this internship experience was having to conduct everything remotely via zoom. This meant I was unable to meet with our Spanish speaking clients in person and attend hearings in court.
