Russell Reynolds Associates

Summer Research Analyst

June - August 2023 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

Great company culture. Everyone is ready to help at all levels of the company. Got the chance to work on multiple projects across various industries.

What I wish was different

The company is fairly lenient about how often employees have to come in the office which can be both good and bad. As an intern, it would have been nice to have more consistent interactions in the office.

Advice

Be proactive in finding people within the company working in industries or projects that you may be interested in and reach out to them. That is the best way to make the most of your experience.

Research Analyst Intern

June - August 2018 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I greatly enjoyed the exposure to different industries, companies, and job functions. There was constantly something new to learn which helped the job stay exciting as I became more accustomed to the type of work I did on a daily basis. Additionally, I was allowed to play an active role in searches. This meant not only was I researching, I had the opportunity to produce major documents and be client facing very early on. The office also had a great culture that made work fun!

What I wish was different

Overall, I had a great experience. I do wish that I was provided with more formal feedback in the middle of the internship so that I could have had concrete things to improve on throughout the second half.

Advice

My favorite parts of my summer were working on assignments that were not typically given to interns. I would advise anyone in this position, or others, to find what interests you and actively request to work on those types of projects. If you are intentional about what you are doing you will get more out of the experience.
