What I liked

Ruby Receptionists is an innovative, human-centered company focused on enabling small businesses to succeed. This focus was clear to me through the attitudes of other employees, company standards, and their community initiatives. My role reflected this, as I was given opportunities to engage with others and leave my mark.

What I wish was different

The marketing department was undergoing significant changes during my time there, so I perhaps was not able to work on projects as long term as I would have liked. However, this gave me valuable insight into how a company navigates these transitions with grace.

Advice

Ask questions, seek opportunity, and always volunteer! I learned so much just from asking if I could sit in on meetings, observe others working, and participate even when things were slightly over my head.
