Established in 2009, Rubino Engineering, Inc. (Rubino) specializes in providing geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing throughout Northern Illinois and the Greater Chicago area. Our geotechnical department consists of engineers, geologists, and geotechnical laboratory specialists.
Our Elgin laboratory is certified by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). Rubino’s staff includes licensed engineers, experienced Project Managers and certified Field and Laboratory technicians.
Rubino Engineering, Inc. has extensive experience performing Geotechnical Engineering services on local, county, and IDOT roadway projects in accordance with the IDOT Geotechnical Manual and the IDOT Subgrade Stability Manual. Rubino self-performs drilling and cone penetrometer testing.
Rubino Engineering, Inc. has extensive experience performing Construction Material Testing services on local, county, and IDOT roadway projects in accordance with IDOT specifications. The materials engineering department specializes in observing and testing soil, concrete, asphalt, and steel during construction.
In addition to geotechnical soil borings, Rubino performs geotechnical site investigations, pavement evaluation, foundation and settlement analyses, provides recommendations for retaining wall and slope stability analyses.
Michelle Lipinski, PE is President and founder of Rubino Engineering, Inc., Michelle manages the day to day operations of the business, performs geotechnical estimates, analyses, and prepares and reviews geotechnical engineering reports.
