What I liked

I loved being at Royal Family Kids camp because, I got to work with foster kids and take a break from my usual stressful work life to make one week amazing for them.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have spent more time with my two little campers because they are growing up so fast and I only get to see them one week out of the 52 in a year. I wish I wrote them more letters throughout the week.

Advice

Be prepared for the worst, but expect the best. The little campers gone through different types of trauma in their everyday lives, this week is the week that they get to just have fun and be kids. Some of the K-5th grade kids are the caretakers in their home, they are far more mature than their peers because of this. However, some kids act like kids who haven't gone through that trauma. There's so many people supporting you and you have a lot of training before-hand.

What I liked

I spent the majority of my time with the children who come to Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC). Every single child that comes to this camp is or has been in the foster system. Being able to spend time with them and have the opportunity to share the Gospel with them is a heart-warming gift.

What I wish was different

I wish the camp was longer than a week. I would not mind staying for more time and sharing even more precious moments with these kids.

Advice

If you are someone who wants to see God work through His children, I would recommend trying this out.
