I wish I could have had a programming job instead of a basic food-service job.
Advice
Don't work in food service. Find something more professional that is more advanced and something you actually enjoy.

What I liked
I was responsible for the front-of-house for 5 nights a week during the process of opening the new restaurant. It was a unique experience because we as a staff were learning on the fly and trying to keep up with the variable demands of a new restaurant.
I was able to improve my customer service skills and overall ability to communicate in a work environment

Never underestimate the value of working customer service to better understand consumer habits when you eventually would like to start your own business

What I liked
I loved my friendly coworkers, awesome managers, and the flexible hours. My managers were really understanding of my college career and were always willing to work with my schedule.
What I wish was different
Overall, it was one of my favorite jobs. Though I wish my other coworkers had done more of their job. And I wish my managers were more strict in enforcing rules and regulations to make sure every employee does their job.
Advice
Stay honest and hardworking, so nobody can get upset with you because you’re the one doing your job.
