What I liked

I appreciated the opportunity to travel out west and explore the outdoors while learning a new skill set.

Advice

Make time for yourself! You spend 24/7 with your crew for 10 weeks straight so finding alone time can be difficult but necessary.

Trail Crew

June - August 2018 • Steamboat Springs, CO

What I liked

I loved living in a tent all summer, hiking everyday and being without my cellphone for the majority of the summer. It really makes you appreciate nature and life in general!

What I wish was different

I wish I would’ve had more food..

Advice

Materialistic things aren’t going to lead you to true happiness, I found that out by having the least amount of “items” in the mountains led me to feel true happiness. Living in the confines of a backpack makes you keep it to bare essentials to make it work.
