About Rockcastle Regional Hospital & Respiratory Care Center

Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center has been providing quality healthcare to Rockcastle and surrounding counties for more than 60 years. As a not-for-profit healthcare system, Rockcastle Regional operates a 26-bed acute care hospital, 4-bed ICU, emergency department, outpatient services and surgery, two rural health clinics, and a 143-bed long-term care facility for residents dependent upon mechanical ventilation.

In 1980, Rockcastle Regional opened its first long-term care unit with 32 beds. With its recent addition of 28 beds in 2017, The Respiratory Care Center is now the largest free-standing ventilator facility in the nation.
