I have worked two tax seasons at RJ Caruso. During that time I have been able to not only apply what I was taught in school, but sharpen my knowledge of what being a tax preparer is all about. Aside from learning how to do tax returns, you are able to learn the ropes on how to run a tax business that you may not be able to experience at a larger firm.

What I liked
I think this internship was a great learning opportunity. I quickly found out that real world accounting is a bit different from the traditional classroom setting, however I still felt welcomed to ask questions. Being a smaller firm, I really enjoyed the hands-on experience along with seeing how the business operates.
