What I liked
I loved the projects I was assigned to and knowing it was going towards something that would be relevant even after I left. While I was at Rivr, they were working with major networks like Bravo, HGTV, A&E, etc. to create, pitch, and sell TV shows. At the West Hollywood location, most of the development managers would spend their days working closely with the producers of these big networks to create a show worthy of airing. Once a show was sold, the Knoxville location would take over and start working to get the show into production. I loved shadowing these development managers and learning what it takes to get an idea on the screen of every household TV.
I also really loved the location. I would look out the window and see the Capitol Records building straight ahead, and the Hollywood sign to my left. The office was small, but modern, with a spiral staircase separating the meeting rooms and the editing studios. I was lucky enough to spend my summer in an incredibly creative environment.
