The culture is really positive and inclusive. Everyone has a “winning” mentality.
What I wish was different
I wish my manager had more time to mentor me on a 1:1 basis. He was extremely busy throughout most of my internship so I felt like I didn’t get as much hands on experience as some of the other interns.
Advice
Don’t hesitate to ask questions and schedule coffee chats with other interns and employees.

Paid Search Intern
May - July 2019 • Chicago, IL
What I liked
An incredible office with many amenities and flexibility, doing real work to help the company, and lots of opportunities for mentorship.
What I wish was different
I wish the final intern project was individual rather than group-based, as my assignment wasn't super reflective of the work I had done.
Advice
Reach out to other teams if you're interested in what they do, they're happy to give you small projects and meet with you.

Digital Marketing Intern
May - August 2018 • Chicago, IL
What I liked
I really loved the collaborative work environment. As an intern on the SEO team I felt as though my work mattered to clients. While working with Fortune 500 companies I got exposure through client meetings to different areas of the interactive investment management philosophy at Rise.
What I wish was different
I would have loved to have seen how the account management side of the company worked.
Advice
Ask questions and put yourself out there. I learned a lot about digital marketing through meeting with people on other teams.
