What I liked

I liked the hard work and the ability to learn different skills. I liked the experience of working for someone else and not having the overhead of not running my own business. I appreciated the aspect of getting to know my co-workers and learning how to do the job more effectively.

What I wish was different

I didn't mind the job, but I don't plan to be a manual laborer my whole life, so while I enjoyed the physical activity, I wouldn't want to do as much in the future. It also had no relation whatsoever to my linguistics degree, so that would have been preferred.

Advice

I think it is important to try different things to find out what you like and allow those to impact your thoughts on what you want to do with your life. While this is ultimately not what I want to do, at least I have another thing that is directing me. It is better to get experience and find out you don't like something rather than not take action because you don't know if you will like it.
