System Integration Engineer
August 2017 • Ithaca, NY
What I liked
There are a wide variety of projects I am involved with and have been introduced to the software/hardware side of Biomedical Engineering. My coworkers are all very supportive and want me to have a great co-op experience.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to have been more involved in lab work instead of sitting at my desk most of the day.
Advice
Don't be afraid to communicate with the people you work with/for about what you like and dislike about the work you are doing. They will most likely be more than happy to help, its just a matter of asking. Also, build relationships with your coworkers and have them show you around the area if they can. Having connections with them outside of work makes working with them during the week even more enjoyable.
