What I liked
In my opinion, this internship gives you the most accurate idea of what this career is really about. You get to see the ins and outs of what a financial advisor does while simultaneously preparing yourself for the position. Similar to how advisors are their own bosses, this internship gives you the freedom to decide what you learn and from who. You really do get out of it what you put into it. There isn't a traditional "supervisor' like most other jobs, we were largely responsible for getting our stuff done the way we saw fit. I really liked the freedom aspect because it requires you to have good time management and prioritization skills, which will help you in any career path. Beyond the actual day to day, Renaissance is like a family and the summer was filled with fun stuff like baseball games and happy hours. If you're interested in the field of financial advising, this is a great place to be.
