I loved that it was a fast paced environment and I was given multiple opportunities to expand my knowledge about the company and my job.
What I wish was different
Nothing.
Advice
My advice is to keep in mind that since it is a fast paced environment, it is important to stay organized and not get behind in daily tasks.

Finance intern
May - August 2017 • Mobile, AL
What I liked
Own office, was taught about wealth management
What I wish was different
The work I was assigned was more of “helping” other employees do stuff they didn’t want to.. I spent a lot of time in the file room or putting out refreshments for client meetings. I didn’t get hands on experience
Advice
Insist that someone explain the “why” behind what they’re doing. Sit in when someone has a client call. Have someone walk you through examples of different account and explain each step since the client joined.

Financial Relationship Specialist
November 2018 • Little Rock, AR
What I liked
Incredibly well trained staff that excel at customer service.
What I wish was different
The bank has some odd fees, but my coworkers are great!
Advice
Regions Bank is a great place to get your sea legs so to speak. Their staff are trained in every area rather than just "sales" or "cash-line." Just about every associate was able to answer questions regarding any product or service in addition to federal and state commercial codes and bank regulations.

External Reporting Intern
May - August 2019 • Birmingham, AL
What I liked
I really enjoyed the events they hosted to bring the Interns together as a group and getting to meet the younger associates that had just taken a full time role in the FDP program.
What I wish was different
I wish we would have had more exposure to other groups of the bank or had some say in the group you were placed in.
Advice
Make use of the time you have. Reach out to people and make connections to learn more about their experience and advice.

Analyst (Investment Banking)
May - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA
What I liked
I loved being a part of an analyst class and getting to know students from across the country. I loved learning and being thrown into projects I didn’t have much experience in.
What I wish was different
More meaningful work. Some days I did absolutely nothing.
I wish I had a sort of mentor to guide me through my time.
Advice
Even when you’re not busy, be doing something. Whether it’s reaching out to network with someone at your company. Reading the Wall Street journal. Practicing in excel. Never just sit there.
