I loved being so hands on in my department. Being able to learn from my manager and other colleagues things that I wouldn't have learned just in class was an extremely valuable experience. I also loved that interns were able to work on projects that related directly to the company and its business decisions.
What I wish was different
I can't think of anything that I wish had been different. With a growing internship program, Regeneron seems to know how to run all intern events very smoothly!
Advice
Ask questions. In any internship/job it is important to ask when you don't know something. At Regeneron, when they say ask questions, they mean it. Everyone is extremely supportive and willing to teach so being curious about everything and asking "why" can only help you.

Regeneron intern
May - August 2018 • Albany, NY
What I liked
I loved the company atmosphere and the support that all employees were happy to give the interns. I also loved that I was heading a project as opposed to doing what i was told to do for a project which allows me to apply my own experience and learn dynamically along the way
What I wish was different
I wish that I had a bit more of an idea of what I would be doing for the summer before my start date. I was given the department and my manager before my start date so I wasn’t going in blind!
Advice
Don’t be narrow minded when you hear a project, even if it’s not what you wanted to do for the summer it will give you the ability to learn a wast set of new skills
