Reed Academy in Framingham is a small, home-like therapeutic day school for boys, ages 7-17, who exhibit social, emotional, and behavioral challenges which affect their learning. Students are accepted after an extensive review process, and are primarily referred through their home school district. The goal of Reed Academy is to provide students with skills which enable them to return to a less restrictive environment, or their home school. The strong therapeutic milieu includes individual, group, and family therapy components, as well as academic and activity based programming. Reed Academy is a Chapter 766 school, and as such, is mandated through the state of MA, following the MA curriculum state frameworks.
