Political Intern
May - July 2020 • Los Angeles, CA
What I liked
I loved being so hands on for a progressive candidate. Although it was remote, it gave me the opportunity to represent a candidate in a different state.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more responsibilities and there were different roles. Majority of my responsibilities included recruitment and phonebanking which was very repetitive.
Advice
I would share to be very open minded when going into an unpaid political intern. It is a huge learning experience and one should do it only if you are passionate about the candidate and their policies.
