What I liked
BBN has a great working environment. The intern program is also pretty nice. My manager is super knowledge and understanding.
What I wish was different
Personally, I wished that I was working on a bigger group project. There were times when I felt kind of isolated, because I worked on my own project and my manager works off site.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions and get involved in the nitty gritty of your team. People love to talk about what they do. Also make use of speaker events if your company offers them.

Software Systems Engineer

What I liked
I enjoyed everything about my experience. My team was very kind, patient, diverse, exciting, and intelligent. They treated me like an equal, and showed me many tools and tricks of the trade. The tasks that were assigned to me were difficult but very eye opening. These tasks allowed me to really put into place what I had learned. Many of the things I did not know how to do, and had to learn. It was exciting to learn all of these new things.
What I wish was different
I wish the on boarding had been a bit more organized. However, the project is so huge, it is very hard for the team to have information on everything. Regardless, they make up for the lack of documentation by being patient when asked questions.
Advice
You will not know everything when starting the job, that is okay! You are there to learn, and the people that hired you are excited to teach you!
