Womenswear, Lauren Dress Sales Intern
June - August 2019 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I loved everything about being able to work for Ralph Lauren this summer. It has been my dream to move to New York City since the 7th grade so it was nice to get a little taste of what that could potentially one day be like in the future. The people at the company were so nice and the culture was amazing. Every opportunity I had helped me grow in so many ways this summer and I felt so valued throughout the entire experience.
What I wish was different
Honestly I don't wish anything was different. They did so much for us as interns than I even thought possible. We learned so much about the city and we also had days where they let us go and explore New York City. This internship really did have a little bit of everything. Every day I just felt so grateful and lucky to be a part of the internship program.
Advice
One piece of advice I would give to students is don't be afraid to reach out and ask to talk to different employers about their life and how they got where they are today. I know it can be scary and I am sure people say it all the time. However, people love talking to you and love sharing their stories. They will be very supportive and caring because they know exactly how you are feeling trying to figure out your career path after college. Don't be afraid to go after your dream internships!

Merchandising Intern
June - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I loved the company culture and how accessible higher ups were. I think my supervisor really treated me like a real co-worker instead of just an intern, and the company gives you a lot of opportunities for growth.
What I wish was different
I wish that the company could better forecast how many new hires it would need by the time we graduate. They hire based on what positions they have available in May, and don't really have much planning around it.
Advice
You will learn more in 10 weeks than you could ever imagine. You will improve your team work capabilities as well as be responsible for your own work, and it will show you how it really feels to be a young person working in the corporate fashion industry.
