Independent Verification and Validation Analyst

August 2019 • Huntsville, AL

What I liked

Radiance Technologies is a Veteran Friendly Employee Owned company that challenges employees to take ownership of their tasks and excel. Radiance Technologies utilizes effective leadership from the CEO all the way down to team leads. I really do love how this company is run.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have started working for Radiance Technologies sooner.

Advice

No matter what degree you are working towards, or what industry you are working in, you need to make sure that it is something you are passionate about. When your job is something you are passionate about then it feels more like a hobby and less like work.

Software Engineer Aide

May - August 2019 • Huntsville, AL

What I liked

I enjoyed the fact that I got to do real work. I was never given pointless intern busy work, I was treated like a member of the team.

What I wish was different

In the future I'd like to do more with hardware, but this internship was still good for me because my software skills were much more useful than my hardware skills at the time.

Advice

If you find a company that treats you like a member of the team and like they are genuinely happy to have you around, stick with them. It was really good to feel like I was helping the company and making connections instead of just them helping me get some experience on my resume.

Electrical Design Engineering Intern

May 2018 • Ruston, LA

What I liked

The people and work environment are awesome, the tasks were both challenging and informative. I learned a lot from this experience and would 10 out of 10 recommend.it to anyone who has the opportunity.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more interns, there were only two of us this past Summer.

Advice

Be open and honest about what you want to work on and they'll direct more of that work towards you.
