Direct, powerful impact on the local community and helping others transform their brokenness in the context of a loving, Christian community. I am glad to be engaging in this meaningful work.
What I wish was different
I wish it would have been a paid internship, alas there was no precedent for paid internships. I am compensated for mileage, however.
Advice
Go in person to the local missions sites! Pomona needs your help!

Marriage Intern
September 2019 • Pomona, CA
What I liked
I loved the environment and the level of independence I had. I was able to sit in on multiple marriage classes as well as compose material to start my own. I interviewed staff and took their responses and imported it into a graph.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more one on one therapy time with clients.
Advice
It is a religious institution but you do not need to be Christian to go to the classes or counseling. However, I assume it is mandated in order to work there.

I enjoy helping plan events for
