Strength and Conditioning Coach Intern

May - August 2019 • West Lafayette, IN

What I liked

I loved the facilities that Purdue had. Most of the people there were genuinely kind. It was a great competitive environment to be in.

What I wish was different

I did not learn much from the internship program. There were very few learning opportunities with my particular internship coordinator at Purdue. Most of the time, I would try to work with the Olympic sports teams because they had so many learning opportunities. I really wish that the communication was better within the staff.

Advice

Make sure that you have an interview with your internship coordinator before you start so that you know who he is as a person, and to figure out your job responsibilities. Make sure that you have a legitimate, strong interest before you participate in this internship.
