Take advantage of everything about the place you work- get coffee with the people- from fellow interns to senior staff, use their alumni network, attend events around DC/NY, and always take on new assignments

What I liked
I appreciated getting a first-hand account to the field of International Law with great real life practitioners.
What I wish was different
Interns were expected to complete a lot of grunt and had to seek out unique opportunities themselves.
Advice
Ask for jobs in order to receive assignments that are more interesting and worthwhile.
