The internship is really what you make of it, can work as little or as much as you want. Very cool to see the firm acquire a company you've been working on. Relevant experience to investment banking or consulting, saw both the M&A side and the internal consulting side.
What I wish was different
Work volume is a bit up and down, when senior staff are in meetings, we don't always have things to do. Some more guidance would've been nice. Work can sometimes get repetitive.
Advice
Someone who is looking to grow, be a leader, willing to do repetitive work, and ask for more work to do will learn a lot. Someone who wants to sit around will go the whole summer and learn nothing.

Business Development Intern
June - August 2018 • Minneapolis, MN
What I liked
I loved the fact that I was given the responsibility to push my initiatives and work to resulted in recordable development in the company.
What I wish was different
More one on one time with the executives. (not likely though because they're executives)
Advice
Even though you are an intern or entry-level employee do not be afraid to express your ideas, talents, etc. if you think they are worth expressing. Even if it is not impactful to your superiors you are showing qualities that they will respect.
