About Project Destined

Project Destined, founded by a former Carlyle Group executive, has partnered with 250+ leading real estate firms and 300+ universities around the country to provide diverse students with internship opportunities to explore ownership through live real estate deals. Project Destined is a unique real estate program that provides young adults from underrepresented communities with the opportunity to learn about commercial real estate through a hands-on, immersive experience. The program is designed to inspire and educate the next generation of real estate professionals by exposing them to all aspects of the industry, from property management to deal-making.

At Project Destined, participants work alongside experienced real estate professionals to analyze properties, develop business plans, and pitch their ideas to real estate investors. This approach allows participants to gain a deep understanding of the real estate industry while also building valuable skills in financial analysis, critical thinking, and communication.

Through its innovative programs, Project Destined is working to create a more diverse and inclusive real estate industry. By providing access to education and hands-on experience, the organization is helping to break down barriers and create pathways to success for underrepresented communities. Whether you're a young person looking to learn about real estate or a seasoned professional looking to make a difference, Project Destined offers a unique and rewarding experience that is not to be missed.

“I was able to learn as much as I wanted. The information was there if I wanted it, but I had to go out and seek it out for myself.”

“Really enjoyable experience. You get the opportunity to not only develop as a leader when you are a PM, but you also get to understand new markets when you work with people in other schools. This opportunity has largely developed lots of the skills I have today.”
